About me

Hello,

my name is Andrea Onofri. I have been always passionate about science. I earned my degree in Agricultural Sciences in 1987 and I hold a PhD in ‘Crop Productivity’ from the University of Perugia. Early in my career, my studies focused on weed science, weed-crop relationships, weed control methods, dose-response studies, and the ecotoxicological evaluation of herbicides. Later on, my research interests shifted towards the application of biostatistics to agriculture, and I concentrated on statistical model fitting, resampling techniques, time-to-event analyses, and genotype-by-environment interaction analyses. I have authored several (more than 80) papers in peer-reviewed journals, one book and I have developed a few R packages. Today, I am a Professor and I teach Experimental Methods in Agriculture at the University of Perugia, for master’s and PhD students in the agricultural sciences.
